Backdoors & Breaches is available both online and with physical decks, and is another great way to learn and facilitate conversation on what you would do during a #cyberincident. Anyone can run this game but Sean is a great facilitator and also with his #DenSecure team at CyberTrust member, Wolf & Company, P.C., helped build one of the expansion packs to the original deck. While conversations around #cybersecurity and #AI continue to talk about the need for diverse practitioners and perspectives, we still hear from academic and #workforcedevelopment programs about the challenge of encouraging women into the field. Many will likely be familiar with an often reported statistic that women typically only make about 20-25% of #cyber practitioners and to add further depth, the Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) State of Inclusion report talks about the additional layers of challenges women in cybersecurity face once they break that initial barrier. So cyber clubs like Lasell University's that have a specific focus on #womenincyber are key to helping women see themselves in a field that still has a long way to go! Keep up the good work!

#CyberTrustMA had such a great time at the 8th Annual #Cybersecurity Forum held by Massachusetts Technology Collaborative's #MassCyberCenter! Not only was a great new grant announced (info and link in the original post) by Secretary of Economic Development, Yvonne Hao, but one of the event panelists included CyberTrust intern, Kewaun C., highlighting his experience going through an alternative pathway into #cyber via Per Scholas Greater Boston. We were also lucky to close out the event by leading attendees through a #cybertabletop scenario that we will tell you more about in an upcoming post! Great to see so many friends, colleagues, and supporters at the event. Wishing all a great wrap-up week to another #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth!

Hear about Greg's interest in using #AI for good and how his background as a #militaryveteran informs his professional mission to protect and defend in the #cyberspace. Here with us, he is helping strengthen the #cyberresiliency at the municipal layer, supporting Saroja Hanasoge, MBA with our #cyberadvisory work. His ultimate goal? Working for the National Security Agency or Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency - hear that, Jen Easterly! This week's #behindthescenes has a celebratory component! Tatyana Rodrigues was part of our first #cyberintern cohort. As a Bridgewater State University alum with her #mastersdegree in #criminaljustice and a #cybercertificate in #Cybercriminology and #Cybersecurity, she still had trouble breaking into the #cyberjobs market. As we all know, it's not easy out there! Hear from Tatyana about how the #CyberTrustMA internship program helped her grow her #cyberskills to help make her job ready. During her tenure here, she worked with Jeff Cassidy, CISSP (#EDR Director) and Sam Porcello, SHRM-CP (Intern Program Owner) to hone both her technical and her power skills, learning how to not just "do the thing" but also talk about her experience "doing the thing" so that prospective employers could really understand her competencies, skill-sets, and her limitless potential. What's even better: this story has a happy ending! We're so pleased and proud to say that Tatyana has landed her first job in the field with K&M Associates, L.P.!
