I'm currently making my way to Utah for FilmQuest, one of the world's biggest genre festivals! I'm proud that First Sight has been nominated for Best Sci-Fi Short Film, with Ellise Chappell nominated for Best Actress and Jacob Fortune-Lloyd for Best Supporting Actor - so well deserved for their brilliant performances. You can also catch Jacob as Beatles Manager Brian Epstein in the recently released film Midas Man. The Edenbound has been nominated for Best VFX, which is quite a feat for a festival with so much otherworldly special effects! Congratulations to every department for pulling off our own Star Wars. Both films are playing on Thursday, with the awards night closing the celebration on Sunday. I plan to make the most of the week-long festival in the mountains, which I've heard is quite the party with a huge number of sci-fi/horror filmmakers, producers, and fans to meet - very exciting (once I've beaten the jetlag).

In the early stages of The Edenbound, we embarked on a production-led test designed to explore, learn, and push boundaries. Motivated by the quote, “Windows have reflections too,” the goal was to give the test content purpose, allowing our team to create something meaningful while mastering virtual production techniques.
