In our continued celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we're excited to spotlight Denisse Garcia, one of our incredible team members! "My name is Denisse Garcia, I’m 36 years old. I was born in Nicaragua and moved to the states in 2021. I started at CTS as an HR receptionist and moved up to a Buyer in the purchasing department a year ago. This is my first time working in the aviation field, and I am completely in love with the industry". What are some of the things you love most about your Hispanic heritage? -I love our culture, our people is always very friendly and helpful and joyful, and our food is amazing. Tell me a fun fact about yourself, as it relates to your heritage. -My dream is to have a Nicaraguan restaurant that plays traditional Nicaraguan folklore music with a small dance floor for people to dance and celebrate. Who or what would you say was your greatest influence for your career? -My parents are my biggest influence, they have been my motor my whole life, always encouraging me to be a better version of myself. A strong and independent woman.

As we continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, were shining a spotlight on Ronald Suarez today, a dedicated Powerplant Engineer at CTS. Thank you Ronald, for taking the time to talk about your Heritage and what it means to you. "I’m Ronald Suarez, and I work as a Powerplant Engineer at CTS Engines. I was born in Havana, Cuba, and had the opportunity to move to the United States at the age of 7 with my mother. What are some of the things you love most about your Hispanic heritage? -What I love most about my Hispanic Heritage is the deep sense of family and our resilient history. I greatly value the close-knit nature of my family and always prioritize them. Our heritage has also taught me to take pride in the journey and sacrifices that have shaped who I am today. Tell us a fun fact about yourself, as it relates to your heritage. -A cherished Cuban pastime is playing Cuban Dominoes, a tradition that’s alive and well in my family. Whether it’s at birthday parties or other celebrations, you’ll always find me around the Domino table, enjoying the competition. Who or what would you say was your greatest influence for your career? -I’ve had several great influences throughout my life, but the ones who truly inspired me to pursue engineering were my high school Calculous teacher, Ms. Lei, and my Physics teacher, Mr. Morales. Their deep knowledge and passion for their subjects showed me that these classes were just the beginning of a challenging yet rewarding journey in engineering.
