There's people data out there, but then there's real-time data which hasn't been offered before. The advent of AI means you can know more about future customers faster than everyone else. LLMs increase the need for real-time data especially for B2B sales.

Crustdata (YC F24) provides APIs and webhooks for real-time data feeds on any company and person on the web. These APIs empower B2B sales teams, AI SDRs, and investors to act on live signals from real-time people and company data. Crustdata has developed technology that allows it to index and pipe in live data from almost any data source. Currently, they do this at scale from sources including LinkedIn, the SEC, funding announcements and milestones, employee ratings, product reviews, and web traffic, and deliver this data instantly to their customers. Their technology also enables you to ‘watch’ companies and people on a live basis. Get monthly, weekly, daily, hourly, or instant updates when a predefined event happens. Events like when a: - Company grows or declines in headcount - Company grows in headcount by certain role - Company grows in certain headcount in specific regions - Company announces or closes funding round - Company gets a new product review - Person changes jobs - Person gets a promotion - Person adds a new skill - Company or Person makes a LinkedIn post Congrats to Abhilash Chowdhary, Manmohit Grewal, and Chris Pisarski on the launch! 🚀 https://lnkd.in/g5dKJ4gT

How much does going to Harvard or Stanford help if you want to get into Y Combinator? YC has an insanely low acceptance rate of 1% - does where someone studied affect their chances of getting in? As part of our big breakdown of the YC S24 batch (link in comment), we used our dataset to see which universities all the founders in the batch hailed from. Here’s what we found: → 15% of founders come from Ivy League schools → Another 15% of founders are alumni of leading tech universities like Stanford, MIT, CMU and Georgia Tech. 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀: Stanford - 19 MIT - 17 Harvard- 11  Oxford - 10  UC Berkeley - 10  Cambridge - 9  Dartmouth College - 9  University of Pennsylvania - 9 Carnegie Mellon University - 7  Georgia Institute of Technology - 7  University of Waterloo - 7 Imperial College London - 6  The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) - 5 Cornell - 5 Yale - 4 While 30% of this batch has studied at a top university, the remaining 70% have not. So, to answer your question - do you have to go to a top university like Harvard or Stanford to make it into YC? No, you don’t. But it helps.
