🌟CrowdSolve Founder Spotlight 🌟 Instead of focusing on just one company, we’re excited to highlight the remarkable group of innovators who joined us for the Clean Energy Founders Forum on September 25-26 in beautiful Telluride! 🔍 Meet Our Innovators: Aquarry: This carbon removal startup transforms abandoned mine pit lakes into atmospheric CO2 storage solutions. Their groundbreaking pit lake alkalinity enhancement (PLAE) technology enhances these lakes’ ability to absorb CO2, turning environmental liabilities into valuable assets. Latimer Controls, Inc.: Tackling solar power intermittency, Latimer Controls provides utility-scale PV control software that converts standalone solar generation into a flexible resource for the grid. Their solutions enable grid operators to integrate more solar energy without compromising reliability or economic performance. Gradient Geothermal: Gradient Geothermal offers oil and gas operators a path to optimize energy use and minimize carbon footprints. Their HXC Sled ORC equipment cools produced fluids while generating onsite, emissions-free geothermal electricity—supporting both operational needs and grid contributions. Timber Age™ Systems: By manufacturing high-performance homes from local wood sourced through watershed health efforts, Timber Age Systems champions sustainability and affordability in housing. Their innovative approach ensures that communities benefit both environmentally and economically. 🌱 Join Us in Mentorship: If you're passionate about supporting these visionary companies, sign up to be a mentor! https://lnkd.in/ggYjz3Hm Current mentors can request connections by emailing [email protected] and mentioning the company you’d like to connect with. 🌱 Meet James Muritu: Innovator, Climate Advocate, and Founder of Progreen*🌱 At 1000 Gretas, we're proud to support groundbreaking climate innovators like James Muritu, whose work with Progreen paved the way for a cleaner, more sustainable future. After returning to Kenya in 2012 and witnessing the devastating impact of plastic pollution firsthand, James spent eight years researching ways to turn this environmental challenge into an opportunity. In 2023, his hard work led to the developing of an innovative biofuel made from waste plastic, enriched with biomass and organic materials. But he didn’t stop there! James is also working on an exciting new project—an alternative cooking gas designed to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and lower carbon emissions. Through his work, James envisions a future where communities worldwide have access to non-fossil fuel alternatives, helping fight climate change at the source. We're excited to stand by him on this journey as our newest grantee. Want to learn more about James’ story and his innovative work with Progreen? https://lnkd.in/gjJnqbmF #ClimateChange #Sustainability #Biofuel #PlasticPollution #GreenEnergy #ClimateInnovators #1000Gretas #Progreen #NonFossilFuel #KenyaInnovation

🌟 What a fantastic time with CrowdSolve at Denver Startup Week! 🌟 Here’s a quick recap of our experience: - The startup spirit is alive and well in Denver, defying reports of the sector's decline from Pitchbook and others. - Over 12,000 attendees gathered to celebrate innovation and entrepreneurship. - CrowdSolve hosted and participated in multiple panels and workshops, including inspiring discussions on "Inspiring Women in Climate Startups" and "Bootstrapping Your Startup." - Attended much of the Climate Day track, expertly organized by Laura Hickernell of CCIA and sponsored by Halliburton, among others. - We were reminded of the importance of building community and creating opportunities for more women and non-binary individuals to thrive in the climate sector. - Reconnected with many climate startup friends and family who have invested, mentored, and launched climate companies alongside CrowdSolve. A huge thank you to everyone who made this event a success! Let’s continue to support each other as we innovate for a sustainable future.🌿🌎 #DenverStartupWeek #CrowdSolve #ClimateTech #Community #Innovation #DSW #Denver #ClimateAction #ClimateInnovation

Scientist, Theologian, Mystic | Founder of Center for Earth Theology | IPCC lead author | Keynote Speaker on climate, science and love

In May, I quit my job. The one I dreamed of having when I was in 9th grade. I value greatly my 15 years as a professor, the 30 in academia. I trusted I could arrive into a new dream gig that better fits me and this moment in culture and planetary change of the 21st Century. Where did I land? Startup Colorado where I met Tim Wolters which led to time at Denver Startup Week and new connections with these amazing women Charlotte De Ridder Laura Klein Rachael Shayne as we engaged with a great audience who are also exploring climate entrepreneurship and social enterprise. I stated that if most folks do worse as the climate warms then climate entrepreneurship is a theological, justice and relationship endeavor, which I speak of as Earth Theology. Then, I found myself at a revival on Wednesday night led by extraordinary women building community, capacity, connection for Women Who Startup! I drove home amid aspen forests more yellow than when I left inspired to stay connected with you all and put what I learned to action in my new business the Center for Earth Theology.

Dang CrowdSolve! What a special panel to have been a part of! Yesterday, I spoke on the "Vision to Impact: Inspiring Women Founders Driving Climate Solutions" panel during Denver Startup Week. I was honored to sit next to Rachael Shayne and Heidi Steltzer, PhD - two innovative, creative, and mindful leaders. We spoke about the pitfalls and opportunity of capitalism in sustainability, the persistent challenge of being taken seriously as a female founder, and the importance of having a bias to action when starting a company. Thank you Tim Wolters and Charlotte De Ridder at CrowdSolve for hosting such a wonderful event.
