CREW Boston, formerly New England Women in Real Estate (NEWiRE), is the region’s leading professional organization promoting the advancement of women within the commercial real estate industry. Since its creation in 1982 by a small group of women professionals with considerable vision, CREW Boston has been an important force behind the increasing success of women in New England's real estate community. Currently, more than 500 members gain opportunities for professional growth and business development as members of this vital organization. CREW Boston's goal has always been to provide professional support, development, education, encouragement and networking opportunities to its members and to the Greater Boston real estate community. Year after year, CREW Boston has succeeded in attracting an extraordinary roster of key industry speakers to address its programs, seminars and special events. Largely open to the public, CREW Boston functions keep members up-to-date on topical real estate issues and changing industry demands. CREW Boston's 18 standing committees and networking groups also give members a chance to engage in stimulating discussions with colleagues from various market sectors. CREW Boston also offers a variety of networking opportunities throughout the year and has established the CREW Boston Educational Foundation, which supports a scholarship for any female undergraduate and/or graduate student interested in pursuing a career in commercial real estate upon graduation. We are pleased to announce the appointment of Amy Prange to CREW Boston’s Board of Directors. All board members are volunteers and serve a three-year term on a rotating basis. As the Vice President of Development for Seaport, at WS Development, Amy has spent the last 8 years overseeing the Seaport Project: 7.6M square feet of mixed-use development across 20 city blocks, creating Boston’s newest neighborhood. To date, Amy and her team have successfully delivered 1.1 MSF of commercial office/lab space to Amazon and Foundation Medicine, Inc collectively, along with leading her team on the design and construction of Harbor Way, Boston’s newest public linear park. Amy is currently managing the development of Amazon’s second tower, One Boston Wharf Road, a 700,000 SF project that will feature ground floor retail and a new performing arts center. One Boston Wharf Road will be the largest net-zero carbon office building in Boston. Amy has over 17 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. Before transitioning to Development, Amy worked as a licensed civil engineer for Nitsch Engineering providing civil site design, site permitting and stormwater master planning services for the firm’s clients. Amy also worked at Colliers International, providing OPM services for high-profile new construction and redevelopment projects including Boston Public Market, Envoy Hotel, Godfrey Hotel and North Bennet Street School. Amy has been a CREW member for nearly 15 years and the organization has been a crucial part of her personal and professional development in this industry. While serving on the board, Amy is committed to continue to support CREW’s overall goal of promoting the advancement and parity of women in commercial real estate.
