Exciting milestone yesterday with the ribbon cutting of Park's Edge! Park's Edge is the first phase of our mixed-use, mixed-income master development. This phase includes 208 units comprised of 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom units that serve individuals and families between 50% and 60% AMI. On August 23rd, some members of #TeamCREA in New York had the privilege of revisiting Second Farms, a property we helped create, to volunteer at the Backpack Giveaway event hosted by Housing Support Services of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York. We joined in distributing over 450 backpacks filled with essential school supplies like pencil cases, folders, and notebooks to children in the community. It was truly special to return to this amazing property, see the impact it has had, and interact directly. Thank you Catholic Charities for letting us join in an initiative that brings such joy and relief to local families.

On Monday, we celebrated the ribbon cutting of Courtyards at Cottonwood II which created an additional 32 units of affordable housing in Riverside County. Congratulations to the City of Moreno Valley, Rancho Belago Developers, Kingdom Development, Inc., and CREA LLC for making this expansion a reality. Riverside County contributed $4 million in Permanent Local Housing Allocation funds reserving 15 units for households at or below 80% of the area medium income and eight Project Based Vouchers with an estimated value of $4.9 million over 20 years. The community offers onsite supportive services tailored to low-income families and seniors. Central amenities include a 4,800 sq.-ft. community center with a computer lab and full kitchen, community pool, picnic areas, playground, health trail, basketball court, and community library for seniors.
