Another successful student program at Crane Currency! Our Summer Early Career Professionals Program placed over 20 students across the business, involving them in various projects such as equipment decommissioning, formulation development, research studies, quality calculations, standards establishment and more. Our U.S. program participants had an opportunity to attend a field trip to our Dalton campus where they toured its operations and the company museum – one of the oldest of its kind in the nation. Volunteering time and their creativity just added to the fun for this amazing group of students! In June 2024, Banco de Moçambique issued a stunning new series of banknotes, printed by Crane Currency. This marks a significant trend in banknote design. At Crane Currency, we know we must be a steward of our plant for years to come and find ways to reduce our consumption and be more efficient with the resources we use. Our team in Tumba recently underwent a continuous improvement initiative to install new automated valves and level transmitters to decrease overconsumption of water. Their efforts were so successful that we are on track to reduce our consumption by over 5 million gallons of water a month.
