It's always a good time with the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, and this week we were lucky enough to host them not once but twice! Our panels with MIAD students and art educators provoked fun, informative discussions about fostering creativity, integrating technology, and preparing students for diverse careers in advertising.

We're wrapping up our series celebrating Black Music Month by featuring the one and only DJ Kool Herc. Widely regarded as the father of hip-hop, DJ Kool Herc's innovative use of breakbeats at Bronx block parties in the 1970s laid the foundation for the entire hip-hop movement. His groundbreaking DJing techniques and vibrant community gatherings ignited a cultural revolution, forever transforming the landscape of music and giving rise to a global phenomenon. Obviously we could have featured many, many more Black artists, but there's not enough days in the month to honor all those who have contributed to our culture. #BlackMusicMonth
