Gyroscope Inc. is thrilled to share that La Nube is opening August 10! This hybrid science centre, children's museum will lead the field in access and inclusion by building bridges to different cultures, languages, abilities and ages. "The blue sky connects all of us around the world" came directly from the El Paso community to inspire Gyroscope's exhibit designs. Just like the El Paso blue sky, the museum is striving to connect us all without borders. “Forces for Change: Mary McLeod Bethune and Black Women’s Activism" is now open at the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
Today, in honor of Mary McLeod Bethune and her legacy, our museum opened “Forces for Change: Mary McLeod Bethune and Black Women’s Activism.” This dynamic reenvisioning of the “Bethune Room,” a special gallery dedicated to the story of Bethune and the National Council of Negro Women, first opened in 2016 as part of the “Making a Way Out of No Way” permanent exhibition. “Forces for Change” offers new perspectives on Black women as activists and illuminates the history of Black women affecting social change.
