A large part of India's agricultural success stems from the incredible women who sow seeds of resilience and growth. We are championing these change-makers through our #2MillionWomen initiative, designed to support Indian women across the agricultural value chain. We aim to equip them with the tools, training, and resources to excel, whether they’re working as farmers, researchers, or agricultural entrepreneurs. This is one story; we aim to support 2 million more by 2030. https://lnkd.in/gqYzurxY #SheThrives #FoodSecurity #SustainableAgriculture

Earlier this month, Corteva was proud to celebrate the ongoing success of our collaboration with long-term partner G-Planter in Cambodia. In attendance were also distinguished guests from the General Directorate of Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries (MAFF). In total, more than 200 participants from the industry came together to celebrate and discuss the steps we can take to accelerate agricultural growth in Cambodia. Together with G-Planter, Corteva has successfully delivered innovative solutions to address key challenges faced by rice growers in the country, particularly in managing weeds and insect tolerance. We remain committed to providing effective technologies that can enhance productivity and promote sustainable farming practices in the region and will continue contributing positively to the MAFF’s vision to increase farmer incomes and enhancing the prosperity and well-being of Cambodians. Here’s to many more years of strong partnership and agricultural development!

With a focus on securing a sustainable supply of maize to meet the growing demand and to enhance farmer prosperity, FICCI organized the 10th edition of the "India Maize Summit". Speaking at the event, Subroto Geed, highlighted the importance of enabling farmers to adopt advance technologies and sustainable practices to overcome the challenges in the production of Maize. Maize is an essential crop within India’s agricultural framework, playing a crucial role in food security, livestock feed, and various industrial applications. The event offered a valuable platform to address key challenges faced by maize farmers, including low productivity and increasing impacts of climate change. Addressing these concerns requires innovative solutions to enhance yields and protect farmers' livelihoods. By introducing advanced hybrid maize seeds and empowering farmers through comprehensive training and education programs, we aim to boost productivity while promoting sustainable agricultural practices. #InItForFarmers #InItForGood #Maize #Corteva #FICCI

Women are the backbone of India’s agriculture landscape, nearly 63% of the agricultural workforce comprises women. Women are making remarkable strides in research, entrepreneurship, farming, and various facets of agriculture. They have the potential to drive meaningful impact – economically, environmentally, and in ensuring sustainable food security. Recognizing the need for a holistic approach, to drive the growth of women and the nation, we launched the #2MillionWomen initiative. This comprehensive program empowers farmers with knowledge and tools for climate-smart agricultural practices, offers resources and training to researchers, and provides mentorship and networking opportunities to agri-entrepreneurs. Through this initiative, we aim to empower two million women across India’s agri-value chain by 2030. #SheThrives #Corteva #FoodSecurity #SustainableAgriculture #2MillionWomen

We were excited to welcome the NASDA - National Association of State Departments of Agriculture to our hometown, where this morning, our CEO Chuck Magro addressed a critical question: as the world faces three fundamental challenges—food security, climate change and the energy transition—what will it take to successfully, and sustainably, feed and fuel the world? The answer - make every acre more productive by making sure American farmers have access to game-changing technology. Corteva is proud to play its part in every state of the union.
