Our Community Action Team hosted a two-part event to support one of our dearest partners, Every Child Pediatrics (ECP). We hosted a newborn supply drive to gather essentials such as food, clothing, and diapers and then gathered at ECP’s Thornton location to assemble 150 newborn supply kits . Many of the families supported by ECP lack basic resources, so these kits will give families the essentials they need to help their newborns thrive.
Thank you to our AMAZING partners at COPIC!! Their staff donated various supplies for our ECP Newborn Baby + Mom Kits. These Kits support new moms who enter our clinic under vulnerable situations. A nice welcome kit helps them get started with some essentials, and it’s a great method to engage our corporate partners with meaningful engagement. Thank you to the amazing team at COPIC for donating the supplies AND completing all the kits. Our Care Navigators will get these to moms at our clinics right away! Want to volunteer with ECP? Back in the early 1980s, Colorado came close to losing its doctors. Without affordable liability coverage, they wouldn’t be able to practice. This threatened the health and well-being of everyone in the state. But our founders had a vision. With the support of @Colorado Medical Society, they went on the ultimate road trip to gain the support of Colorado’s 3,200 doctors. This year we celebrate 40 years of serving doctors—not just in Colorado but across the country. Our founders’ vision of keeping patients safe and supporting good medicine is at the core of all we do. We’re proud to have the strength and stability to support physicians, other healthcare providers, and facilities as the leading carrier in the Midwest/Rocky Mountain region. Here are a few photos from our 40th anniversary board celebration. Read more about Copic’s history: https://lnkd.in/g2sfpY_y

Congratulations to Dr. William Wright who was selected as the 2024 recipient of Colorado’s Copic Humanitarian Award—announced at Colorado Medical Society's Annual Meeting and presented to him at the Denver-area "4 Medical Societies Annual Meeting and Celebration." He was selected for his dedication to physician health and patient safety over his 40+ years in practice. As a long-time member of the Colorado Physician Health Program (CPHP) Board of Directors, Dr. Wright worked tirelessly to champion physician well-being, leading initiatives like the Doc2Doc Wellbeing Consulting Program. He’s also volunteered with the Colorado Medical Board, Colorado Institute for Value in Healthcare, and The Colorado Trust. Dr. Wright has directed the $10,000 donation that accompanies the award to CPHP. Pictured are Dr. Wright, Dean Holzkamp, and Beverly Razon.

The “comprehensive, integrated model of health care” that Doctors Care Colorado offers its patients is an amazing story recently profiled in a Denver Post article. We are so proud to support them and their team of medical providers who make a difference in the lives of many. Can we take a moment to brag about our amazing employees? Our Community Action Team recently hosted a Silent Auction benefiting Face-to-Face Colorado, raising an incredible $6,000+! Their generosity help support this small, volunteer-run nonprofit that has created a strong community of families in Colorado affected by cleft lip and cleft palate.

Copic joined the American Society for Health Care Risk Management (ASHRM) Annual Conference in San Diego. We enjoyed connecting with fellow risk management professionals and discussing the latest trends impacting healthcare organizations. It’s always great to be with others who, like Copic, are committed to advancing safe, trusted care for all.
