When people are in need, you can count on us to step up - even if that means traveling (far) outside our Michigan communities. And that remains true in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Our friends in the south need help, and we're on our way to provide it. Just as many have done for us in the past. Today, we sent 48 people – 15 three-person lineworker crews and three other support personnel, as well as equipment to Virginia. Restoring power is the least we can do as neighbors across the region work to pull their lives back together.

Helping our neighbors is the right thing to do, even if those neighbors are several hundred miles away. Join us in wishing safe travels to the 48 people from Consumers Energy going to Virginia to help restore power after Hurricane Helene. We know they'll be working just as hard to restore power there as they do to deliver reliable energy at home. No matter where you live, you can count on us.

We aim to be more than just an energy provider – we want to be an energy partner. Through our innovative PowerMIFleet program, we’re helping qualified organizations purchase electric fleet vehicles, reinforcing our commitment to power Michigan’s EV transformation for everyone. So far, we’ve partnered with nine nonprofit organizations to add all-electric e-transit vans that will help with food transportation and distribution to schoolchildren and provide essential transportation for disadvantaged community members. We’re grateful to support our customers and communities like never before. https://lnkd.in/gWjGuFBi

Did you know, 74% of electric vehicle drivers express a strong interest in workplace charging? That means your employees – both today and in the future – are likely to want the convenience of charging at work. Installing EV charging will not only help attract and retain employees, but it can earn you rebates up to $7,500 for every two chargers installed to offset the upfront investment. https://lnkd.in/gx4PJsKV

We started near Standish. Crews are now in Allegan and Allendale. We’ll be starting in Hillsdale and Saugatuck soon. By the end of 2024, we will have completed our pilot to protect 10 miles of power lines from Mother Nature by burying them underground. Lessons learned in this pilot will help our teams as they work to bury 1,000 miles of power lines over the next five years as a part of our Reliability Roadmap! https://lnkd.in/gXzT6nDC

It’s National Drive Electric Week and what better way to kick off this nationwide celebration than with free EV events!
