"Autumn is a special time in Minnesota. As the weather starts to cool and the leaves turn red across the state, a lot of culture comes with it. One such instance of the vibrant fall culture in Minnesota is a town that has taken their commitment to “frights” to another level." ✍ Jake Richards, IT Specialist Individual Placement / AmeriCorps Member placed at Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Trails https://lnkd.in/gA_fF5cm [Image Description] Mural on the side of a store that says "welcome to Anoka. "Cattails are one of my favorite plants. They are aquatic plants that can be found in shallow water and wetlands. There is one species of cattail that is native to Minnesota, the broad-leaf cattail." ✍ Hannah Heiss, Outdoor Education Y02 Crew Member / AmeriCorps Member https://lnkd.in/g4E_nYWa [Image Description] A trail through a forest. One of our Board members was excited to come across a recent Corpsmember project while out hiking recently! "Pic of me at Judge Magney State Park on the North Shore with my CCMI water bottle standing next to recently completed trail stairs by our CCMI crews. This was part of a family outing just last week and was quite the surprise!" 📷 Bob Craggs, Conservation Corps MN & IA Board of Directors https://lnkd.in/gmrdPnad [Image Description] A person holding a CCMI water bottle at the base of a set of wooden stairs with a small CCMI sign.

"Roughly a year ago, not only did Braden feel like he didn’t know what to do next, but he wanted to return to his home area. When he found out about this position, it resonated with his passion for the outdoors, and he knew it would give him a year for self-discovery." ✍ Jesse Wolk, Utility Mapping Specialist Individual Placement / AmeriCorps Member placed at Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Trails https://lnkd.in/gWs4yMBy [Image Description] A person in winter gear holding up a fish on a frozen lake.
