    If you want something you’ve never had, you need to do things you’ve never done. You also need to do things that nobody else is doing. Here’s the truth about applying for jobs today: According to JobVite, 75% of people use online applications as their primary method for going after new opportunities. A LinkedIn survey on talent trends showed that 1 in 3 employees said they were actively looking for new work. The population of employed people in the US is 161 million in 2024. What does all that mean? Right now, today — 39 *million* people are using online applications as their primary source of finding new jobs. 39 million! So I’ll ask you... What *else*are you doing to stand out? What *else* are you doing to go above and beyond to prove your value? How are you differentiating yourself? Because if you’re just tweaking a few keywords on your resume or hitting Easy Apply all day, I’m so sorry. That ain’t going to cut it — especially if you want to work at an amazing place. If what you’re doing isn’t working, you need to ask yourself: “Have I done everything I possibly can to prove my value? Or have I just done the same thing that everyone else is doing?” If you want that amazing job, you need to go above and beyond. You create your own opportunities. Agreed?

    HR: "What's your salary expectation?" Candidate: $8,000 to 10,000 a month. HR: You are the best-fit for the role but we can only offer $7000. Candidate: Okay. $7,000 would be fine. HR feels like they did a great job in salary negotiation and management will be happy they cut cost for the organisation. The new employee starts and notices the pay disparity. Guess what happens?
