About us
The mission of Community Impact is to help individuals and families create better futures, while providing Columbia students with meaningful volunteering and leadership opportunities. Housed on Columbia University's Morningside Campus since 1981, Community Impact is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that serves as a connector between the University and its neighbors. Community Impact has 28 youth, adult, health, and emergency and has partnerships with dozens of community organizations.As the largest student volunteer service organization on campus, our work is driven by 900 Columbia University and Barnard College students who serve over 9,000 Upper Manhattan residents.
