About us
Comfort Cases was founded in 2013 with the mission of inspiring communities to bring hope and dignity to foster youth. Comfort Cases believes that every child has the right to a more humane experience in foster care, and that starts by providing each child in care with a Comfort Case to hold their belongings instead of a trash bag. With the initial goal of helping hundreds, Comfort Cases has dramatically expanded its reach since its inception having delivered more than 95,000 cases to children and youth ranging from newborns to the age of 21 in all 50 states plus Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico. With Comfort Cases distributed to social service agencies, private agencies, emergency domestic violence shelters, family shelters, schools, and police departments, the reach has been broad to children and youth. With exciting developments on the horizon, Comfort Cases continues to grow. While engaged in the process of planning for national expansion, Comfort Cases has established supporters in all 50 states who want play a meaningful role in fulfilling Comfort Cases’ presence and impact. Children deserve the very best from their communities, and Comfort Cases believes it is our responsibility and our privilege to come together to effect positive change in the lives of children and youth in need in foster care. Trash bags no more. 🚫 This might be my favorite community service project that Gross, Mendelsohn & Associates, P.A. has taken on. Check out Comfort Cases, Inc. and the work they are doing to bring more dignity to children in foster care.
There’s nothing quite like giving back to the local community. After learning that children in foster care often move from home to home with their belongings in trash bags, our team was eager to help. We partnered with Comfort Cases, Inc., a nonprofit whose mission is to bring dignity and hope to youth in foster care. We kicked things off by holding a drive to collect backpacks and personal items like toiletries and pajamas. Our team then came together to pack 75 backpacks and delivered them to Comfort Cases for distribution. #givingback #communityservice

What an exciting past two days! An extraordinary crew from HBO visited the Comfort Cases National Center and the Scheer Farm to film footage for a new documentary series that will air on HBO later this year! 🎥 We’ll share more details as they become available, but in the meantime, here are some behind-the-scenes photos! 📸🙌 It was wonderful to have Pedro Andre, the host and executive producer of the series, meet our family, enjoy dinner with us, and connect with our volunteers! 🎒 Shoutout to Ted's Bulletin Chop Shop Butchery and Gemellis Italian Restaurant for hosting us! 👏
