Colvin Engineering Associates, Inc. is a 40-person MEP firm based in Salt Lake City, Utah since 1986. We provide professional engineering services to owners, architects, and industries as well as governmental agencies. Our project experience includes all types of educational, institutional, commercial, recreational, housing, and manufacturing facilities. We provide services that include the analysis, design, and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, process piping, energy modeling, fire protection/smoke control systems, and environmental quality/pollution controls. We seek the most innovative solutions and are involved with the most cutting edge local projects. We are Utah leaders in mechanical and electrical systems and our design team philosophies are aligned with the clients we serve. Archer and Colvin Engineering Associates led ASHRAE—YEA on a tour of Astra Tower's roof, cooling tower, mechanical room, PRV rooms, and amenity decks to learn about the systems of the city's tallest structure. ASHRAE-YEA is a group within the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers. This group identifies, develops, and supports events and services that address the specific needs of engineers aged 35 and younger.
