Ethiopia's transition to electric vehicles is transforming transportation. With 96% of the country's electricity coming from clean hydropower, EVs are offering the country a dual win for the environment and the economy. Even more – drivers no longer face long lines at gas stations, costs are going down as the country avoids high gas import costs, and manufacturing jobs are booming: https://lnkd.in/efCGcUx8

Great news 🥳👏 A key bill to update California’s Clean Cars 4 All program, making it more effective and equitable, just passed its final Senate committee and is now headed for a full Senate vote! AB 2401 will help the most gasoline-burdened drivers in low-income communities access EVs and save money on fuel costs. "AB 2401 will cut climate and air pollution faster while ensuring the benefits of these programs lift up communities most in need,” said Janelle London, our co-executive director. https://lnkd.in/gSn4eUGP

I built a quarterly index/interactive data tool that shows how much you can save by switching from a gas-powered car to an electric vehicle! One of Coltura's goals with this tool is to bust the myth that EVs are an overly expensive luxury; the gap in sticker prices between gas cars and EVs continues to narrow, and this data clearly shows that EVs have a lower cost of operation no matter where you live.
