🩺Health is wealth! As part of our employee wellness initiatives, we've added blood pressure monitors to every privacy room at Emily Griffith Campus, Acoma, and 780 Grant—making it easy for staff to check in on their health. Superintendent Dr. Alex Marrero checked his own blood pressure, showing how small steps can help maintain overall health and setting a great example of prioritizing well-being. Go check one out for yourself! Stay well, DPS! 💙 #EmployeeWellness #SelfCareMatters #Denver

As we observe World Mental Health Day today, it’s critical to recognize the #disparities in access to healthcare, particularly in mental health services. For too many, especially in underrepresented communities, barriers like cost, stigma and a lack of resources make it difficult to get the support they need. According to the World Health Organization, mental health conditions affect nearly one in eight people worldwide. Despite this, only a fraction of those individuals receive adequate care. We must address these disparities. Mental health is health — it’s just as vital as physical well-being — yet it’s often overlooked. We must work towards reducing stigma, opening conversations and advocating for better mental health services. This is especially true in communities that are often left behind. I’m committed to ensuring that everyone has access to the support they need, no matter their background. By raising awareness and investing in more avenues of access to care, we can build a future where addressing mental health is accessible and #equitable for all. https://bit.ly/47Z2E0B
