As the summers coming to a close I took some time to reflect on what i’ve learned throughout the past 4 months. I wanted to change the way that I think and bring my art to life. Using methods from my internship and work experiences I tasked myself with trying something new in my process to put the vision into motion. I used footage I collected with my tenure with Penn State Womens Basketball in my freshman year to create a reel that captured the highlights and emotional standpoint that the season brought. This is the work I created and I’m proud to have strengthed my process to continue to create faster, smarter and passionetly.

I am filled with gratitude as I conclude my summer internship as a Production Intern with Warner Bros. Discovery & House Of Highlights. In my role, I managed socials across different platforms, assisted in producing our live NBA Draft show, collected and organized analytics, and much more. Beyond the tasks, my summer was made special by the team I was honored to work with! There are many thanks to go around, but I wanted to give a special shoutout to my manager Katie Thorpe, as well as CaroLine Jastremski, Drew Muller, Joshua Dickens, MBA, and many others for their guidance, advice, and mentorship this summer. As the school year approaches I can't wait to put the new skills and lessons I've learned into action. I am excited to announce that I am being brought back as a Student Content Creator for NBC Sports this year, as well as continuing my role as Sports Director for Culture Central!

Today is my last day with Warner Bros. Discovery CNN and wow what a journey it has been. The ability to work with my Soror and newfound mentor Abby Phillip has been an honor. This has been a rough last few months in the news cycle and learning the ins and outs of the industry has been life-changing. Being able to work during the RNC, watching the debate hosted under our company, and all the little moments in the office. Being the only Black/Black woman CNN news show intern this summer is a privilege I do not take lightly. I hope the trend continues to move forward for more diverse faces in the newsroom. Thank you, T. Howard Foundation for continuing to move the needle forward so students can thrive. Let’s go senior year👏🏿! #cnn #news #pennstate #deltasigmatheta

🌟 As my summer internship at LaFORCE ends, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this experience memorable! As a Corporate + Consumer Team member, I had the opportunity to work alongside the talented teams of the Madewell, YSL Beauty, and Shea Moisture accounts. With the Madewell account, I drafted the weekly Trend and Thursday Reports, handled over 50 Sample Request Forms, and maintained updated media lists and feedback grids. I also had the opportunity to contribute to special projects such as creating face sheets and audits, which enabled me to provide support for significant events and strategic initiatives. At YSL Beauty, I aided with media monitoring and clippings while supporting research and audits. With Shea Moisture, I assisted in formatting weekly newsletters, which allowed me to develop organizational and analytical skills to gain industry insight. Lastly, I worked on our Summer Intern Project alongside my fellow interns, Loulie Olson, Molly Psaki, and Grace Tanella. We utilized research to create a Timberland Pitch, which we then presented to the entire firm. I sincerely appreciate the guidance and encouragement I received from Charlotte Collazo, Katherine Polaski, Laura Thornton, and Bailey Smith, along with the support of my intern class. This experience has been enriching, and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and make a meaningful impact. Thank you, LaForce! 🌟 #Internship #Laforce #PublicRelations #THowardFoundation #ThankYou

I had the honor of representing Penn State University at my first National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) convention last week in Chicago. I had an amazing experience connecting and networking with professionals in the industry who look like me, and with my fellow peers at other universities around the country. It was a dream come true to receive advice from professionals at networks I’ve been watching since a young girl. I would like to thank Marie Hardin, Gary A. Abdullah, and Walter Middlebrook for seeing the potential in me and allowing me to go on this wonderful trip with my Penn State peers. I cannot wait to apply all the advice and skills I learned, when I get back to school this fall.

Hello LinkedIn! This summer I have had a chance to do some amazing work. Since traveling to Virginia in August, becoming a media intern for the Charlottesville Tom Sox quickly became the best decision I could have made. The number of opportunities I received allowed me to push myself and grow in so many ways. In one summer, I received on-camera opportunities such as pre-game and post-game shots, interviews with players and coaches, developed my writing, social media and photography skills, have done promotions work and more!  Now that it has come to an end, I thought what better way to reminisce than share some of my work here! One of my favorite pieces I did was an interview with one of the team's coaches and one of its players...the former baseball coach out of the University of Georgia Scott Stricklin and the Auburn catcher Cale Stricklin. Those last names are not a coincidence! I got the chance to speak with the father-son duo about their shared love of baseball, what spending a summer together has meant for them and more! Take a look! https://lnkd.in/esbDiAVs

This summer I was blessed with an opportunity to take on a Virtual internship with the G.R.O.W.T.H. Initiative from 100 Roses From Concrete and I'm grateful for all the experiences that I gained over the past 10 weeks. I gained this internship through the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications JOBEXPO.COMM event in February speaking with the company Founder Keni Thacker. He saw the vision and passion I had for producing even though the requirements were to be a rising Senior or Graduate he insisted that I apply to be a part of something special. This past Friday was my last day at this internship and I'm truly proud of our team for creating the PSA, Strategy, and Art Design for our client. I was blessed to be granted the HUSTLE Award within the program for my dedication and commitment! Thank you, Keni for creating this beautiful program that can help give a platform for young black creators like me in this AD space. Thank you Jairo Obando for being the best mentor leading me through the highs and lows of the process. To Amanda Acevedo, I'm grateful for the guidance you brought to our team continuously steering our ship forward. Muhammad Floyd, I'm thankful for the knowledge that you helped instill in me to continue creating something special. Lastly to my team, I wouldn't want to have done this with any other group of individuals or any other route we took. We were dealt the hard hand and persevered through all the tribulations. I'm proud of you all for the sacrifices that you made to stick beside each other and get the job DONE! I'm looking forward to sharing the BTS and the PSA with you all and look forward to using the skills I learned to make a difference.

DEI & Social Impact Intern at IPG | Broadcast Journalism Student at Penn State University | T. Howard Foundation Alum

This past week, I attended my first National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) in Chicago where I joined 12 students to represent Penn State University! As I approach senior year, this opportunity granted me the ability to explore the many avenues of journalism. From media advocacy to representation behind the scenes, I learned just how much impact is made from fostering an inclusive culture within journalism. Coming together to celebrate Black excellence has been an honor and I look forward to making an impact in the industry. I would like to give a special thanks to Dean Marie Hardin, Walter Middlebrook, and Gary A. Abdullah for sponsoring this amazing experience! I look forward to showcasing the valuable skills and advice I’ve learned from seasoned professionals in the field. To new beginnings and starting this new chapter.

Dreams do, in fact, come true. This past week, I was honored with the opportunity to attend my second National Association of Black Journalists Convention in Chicago along with 12 other Penn State students. There, I was able to reconnect and meet tons of talented journalists around the country. I also was able to check off an item on my bucket list, as I attended ESPN’s First Take live show on Friday. It was then that I got my five seconds of fame as I was shown in a few crowd shots. I also attended various panels, including one covering the disappearance of Black male’s in journalism, a very valuable session for me. I would like to thank Gary A. Abdullah , Dean Marie Hardin and the Bellisario College of Communications for a life-changing experience. I cannot wait to apply everything I’ve learned to further me on my journey
