Congratulations to UNC Charlotte College of Engineering Professor Sukumar Kamalasadan, Ph.D., Sherif Abdelrazek, Ph.D. PE and Robin Bisht, Ph.D. on the issuance of Patent 11,984,759, "Grid Ancillary Service with Uninterruptible Power Supply," developed in partnership with Duke Energy. This invention is licensed to Scenergy, Inc., a North Carolina start-up doing innovative work in the energy space. NCInnovation recently awarded Dr. Sukumar Kamalasadan a pilot grant to advance his research in power grid efficiency.
