Not every networking event has to revolve around Alcohol. Shoutout to Clockout for creating a networking platform that “gets” that many professionals want genuine connections. Sometimes that looks like showing up in sweats and eating a kebab. Thank you everyone for showing up. There was a diverse collective of folks ranging from folks working on side projects and full-on startups, to execs from companies like Louis Vuitton. My goal this summer is to attend 1 event/ week. This week I went to 8 😅 One of my favorite events was Clockout’s tech & biz brunch club. Clockout is a mix between LinkedIn & Meetup where you’re encouraged to meet people IRL. It’s really nice to see an app prioritize meeting people in person, rather than being in a continuous state of reaching out to people online. Even as an extrovert, sometimes I find it difficult to meet new like-minded & like-hearted people in the city, but today’s brunch was such an amazing time. Hopefully we can all get together again soon. We also all found out Biden was dropping out of the race at the same time. I cannot wait to live in precedented times again. P.S. This isn’t an ad, I just genuinely had a great time today & the tacos & the hibiscus juice were amazing.
