New Leader Spotlight: James Bustamante, LMHC, Director of Outpatient Services! James brings over 30 years of expertise and compassion to the field of behavioral health. His diverse experience spans private practice, multiple years in the insurance industry, and 25 years as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Iowa. Throughout his career, James has held key leadership roles, including Executive Director of an outpatient clinic and Vice President of Outpatient Services. His work has also included hands-on care as a private practice clinician. When asked why James chose mental health, "I have seen the profound effect trauma and emotional pain can cause and I wanted to contribute as a source of healing for others." We are glad to have you with us, James!

This is a week to show appreciation to our dedicated EVS team who together, ensure our hospital is a clean and safe place for patients and staff members alike. We're proud of our new building and this team does a great job!

Today is #worldsuicidepreventionday! We observe this day to show support for suicide prevention, to remember a lost loved one through suicide and for the survivors. All feelings are valid. Be there for yourself, and others. We want to encourage anyone experiencing an emotional crisis to remember they can call the Suicide Prevention Hotline by dialing or texting 988. This line is available 24/7 for anyone that needs to talk!

The purpose of Overdose Awareness Day is to raise awareness of overdoses, reduce the stigma of drug-related deaths and acknowledge the grief felt by families and friends. If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, reach out! We can help.

We celebrated our recent Joint Commission Accreditation re-certification with a staff luncheon and prize give-away! Being a Joint Commission Accredited facility is a big achievement, and we're proud of all the work our staff put into making this a successful re-certification process.
