We're Hiring: Quality Assurance Supervisor!
Clio is looking for a motivated, strong attention to detail and highly organized individual to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must have a knack for process improvement and document retention. The Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor is responsible for supporting the food safety and quality assurance function within the company, ensuring timely and effective implementation of all company's policies, procedures, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the products and development processes. Reporting to the QA Sr Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
-Act as back up for the SQF Practitioner.
-Conduct verification and maintenance of the food safety and quality systems, hazard analysis and sanitation processes, prerequisite programs, -manufacturing processes, plan environment and finished product.
-Collaborates with operations on the initiation of corrective action and preventive measures when necessary.
-Ensure adherence to corporate, regulatory, customer and facility food safety and quality requirements and completion of corrections and corrective actions.
-Investigate and follow up on food safety incidents that occur in the plant to ensure that are reported and that corrective action and permanent corrections are taken.
-Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
-The QA supervisor provides daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management.
-Responsible for keeping records up to date, verified and orderly.
-Maintain laboratory, office, and any other QA related supplies the company may need.
-Train employees on GMP’s and Food Safety topics.
-Train and coach QA Technicians.
-Perform audit like inspections in the plant.
-Must be willing to cover QA technician shifts.
-Assist in the implementation or improvement of new or already implemented food safety programs.
-Aid Management in FDA, SQF and customer audits.
-Support the implementation of new lab analysis procedures.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
-Bachelor's degree in Food Science, or a similar field of study
-Knowledge of food safety industry practices and standards
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Must be SQF certified
-Must have experience in laboratory and manufacturing environment setting
-Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office experience
