2001: On Aug. 5, the Cleveland Indians, now Cleveland Guardians, tied the record for the largest comeback in MLB history. Trailing 14-2 to the Seattle Mariners in the 7th inning, the Indians would go on to score 12 runs over the next three innings. The game was forced into extra innings where Jolbert Cabrera hit a walk-off single in the 11th inning to win the game. 2000: The then Cleveland Indians, now Cleveland Guardians, batted off their 100th franchise season. Founded in 1901, the team was originally known as the Cleveland Blues. The franchise finished its 100th season with a 90-72 record and a second-place finish in the AL Central led by Manger Charlie Manuel.
