Safety-Kleen, HPC Industrial and Performance Plus were all well represented at the recent 2024 SCTA Speed Week at the Bonneville, Utah salt flats. Among the highlights were the Speed Demon, sponsored by Safety-Kleen, reaching speeds up to 459 mph, cruising past the previous class record in the Steamliner class. The Wayne Jesel HPC Dodge pickup ran over 200 mph, just shy of the record for its class. The No. 28 Safety-Kleen 1934 Roadster raced at a top speed of 211 mph. Rounding out the group was a 1967 Corvette that reached 226 mph, good for a record in the C-modified class. The Roadsters and Corvette are built and prepared by Aaron Brown’s Garage Shop based in Denver, N.C., which has been supported by Safety-Kleen and Performance Plus for over 10 years.

Once again Clean Harbors sponsored a thrilling and successful race in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. This year the #CleanHarbors250 came to the Richmond Raceway on Saturday, Aug. 10, where Thad Moffitt drove the Safety-Kleen sponsored No. 46 Chevrolet Silverado. Highlights included Clean Harbors President of Environmental Sales and Service Jeroen Diderich waving the green flag at the start of the race, giving away once-in-a-lifetime NASCAR driving and ride-along experiences and Richard Petty signed memorabilia, and meeting customers and race fans from around the country. Congrats to ThorSport Racing No. 98 Ty Majeski / Soda Sense Ford Performance for earning the spot in victory lane Saturday night!

We’re excited to be featured on Netflix’s new series, “Resurrected Rides,” with comedian Chris Redd and his garage team, which is now streaming! Keep an eye out for crew members using our parts washer (like in the picture below), absorbents and Performance Plus lubricants. We also worked with the cast to collect their used motor oil – that will be used to create our KLEEN+ re-refined base oil – along with oil filters and paint waste that will all be recycled.

College interns from across the United States have been spending their summers at a variety of Clean Harbors locations, engaging in practical, hands-on training. In honor of National Intern Day today, we wanted to thank the approximately 70 students – representing more than 50 colleges and universities – for all they’ve done during their internships. They quickly became key members of their teams, and their contributions have had a positive impact across all our lines of business. We wish all our interns the very best during the next stages of their careers! #interns #nationalinternday #training

One of the many great qualities of our employees is they don't hesitate to help others in times of need. After Hurricane Beryl hit Southeast Texas, father-daughter duo, Health and Safety Supervisors Kevin Monclova and Candice Monclova (photo 1), along with Kevin’s wife, Jody (photo 5), set out in their neighborhood to assist with clearing fallen trees and debris from the roads. The Monclovas regularly do this this type of work for their community following hurricanes and tropical/ice storms. “As long as I can remember, I have always wanted to help in situations like this,” Kevin said. “If I have the tools and ability to do so, I’m going to do it.”
