    Our very own Dan Rizek and Bob Sergott of the Broadcast Services Division recently won multiple awards from the Alliance for Community Media, Central States Region Philo Awards. The Alliance for Community Media recognizes the efforts of modern-day broadcast pioneers who have dedicated themselves to community media, empowering voices and fostering connections within our local communities. SHTV has always been known for creative expression, a platform for diverse voices, and a vital source of information for our residents. Dan and Bob not only uphold these values but also work to take them to new heights. Their work was selected for recognition from among more than 150 submissions in the following categories: Overall Excellence in Access TV – Professional Winner Comedy/Humor – Professional Winner “A Very Merry Sterling Heights Tale” In Collaboration with Sterling Heights Police Department and featuring K9 Groot Interview/Talk Show – Professional Winner “Legally Speaking: Assault of Black Women” In Collaboration with the Macomb County Bar Association Documentary – Finalist “Sterling Heights Fire: Ice Rescue Training” In Collaboration with the Sterling Heights Fire Department Public Service Announcement – Finalist “Every 15 Minutes: A Sterling Heights Story” In Collaboration with Sterling Heights Police Department, Warren Consolidated Schools, 41-A District Court, Henry Ford Hospitals, and other community partners
