Nichols is the first person in Cleveland to hold this role during Mayor Bibb’s Administration, as the city reimagines its organizational structure. Nichols will lead efforts to modernize the department, improve processes, and develop a long-term strategic plan. With over 15 years of experience, Director Nichols is focused on collaboration and putting residents first!

Yesterday, Cleveland welcomed White House Senior Advisor Tom Perez to spotlight the impact of ARPA funds on local development. He toured the Wellman-Seaver Morgan factory, showcasing the Site Readiness for Good Jobs Fund, which is transforming 210 acres of urban brownfields into job-ready sites! This site will also host the future East Side Trail & Innovation Hub. 🏗️ Director Perez joined Mayor Bibb at the Cleveland Builds graduation, celebrating the achievements of pre-apprenticeship trainees now entering union programs. This ARPA-funded initiative is creating pathways to good jobs and strengthening our workforce! Recently, Mayor Bibb signed Cleveland's new Project Labor Agreement (PLA), guaranteeing fair wages, a diverse workforce, and top-quality labor on public projects over $500K. This agreement supports local hiring, strengthens job training, and promotes equity in city development!
