🌞 Detroit is taking a stand against blight with our new solar initiative! Some residents were concerned the panels might look unattractive, but we're addressing that by creating beautiful green spaces around them. 🌳 We're engaging with the community to design these areas, choosing the trees, flowers, and grass they love, making sure it all fits into the neighborhood. Together, we can restore quality of life and create a greener, more beautiful Detroit. 🌼✨ #DetroitSolar #CommunityGreenSpaces #SustainableDetroit #NeighborhoodBeautification

If you recently swam at Belle Isle Beach over the weekend and are experiencing gastrointestinal illness symptoms of nausea, abdominal cramps, diarrhea or vomiting, call your personal physician if symptoms last more than 48 hours. Based on the results of water sample testing conducted on July 10 by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and provided today to the Detroit Health Department, the Health Department has directed the MDNR to close Belle Isle Beach until additional MDNR testing shows water quality has returned to safe levels. The recent MDNR testing showed elevated levels of E. coli bacteria. Please avoid contact with the water in this area until further notice.
