Are you looking to participate in a unique volunteer project that will leave a lasting impact on future generations? Then, join the Prairie Restoration Project at the Plains Conservation Center to restore relationships between people and nature. Volunteers will have a chance to embrace the great outdoors and get their hands dirty by doing tasks like removing non-native invasive plant species, planting native prairie plants, monitoring wildlife and collecting data as part of a research experiment. No experience is required, but all volunteers must be 12 or older. Shifts take place in the mornings every Thursday and one Saturday and Sunday per month. Polis on May 24, 2024, prohibits local governments in Colorado, such as Aurora, from being force-pooled.
