Our SVP of Marketing Lauren McCarthy has a breakdown of the campaign that helped take Terrifier 3 to the tops of the box office. We love this movie, we're so proud of the team that created it, and we want you to go see it again and again!
I am proud beyond words of the team’s fantastic work on the #Terrifier3 campaign. This past weekend was quite the ride! We keep getting asked “how did you do it?” So here goes: ✅ Defined our LIMITATIONS Yes. Our budget was LOW. You read those trade story numbers right. But Orson Welles said, “The enemy of art is the absence of limitations.” It was the budget limitations that made us creative and strategic. This led us to build a digital-first campaign with a razor-sharp targeted media spend, strategic viral stunts, limited OOH (with the highest chance of digital amplification) killer creative and 24/7 community management. ✅ Crafted our VOICE Our goal was to elevate Art the Clown to his rightful place as a true horror icon. In turn, every asset, caption, stunt and strategy was crafted to conjure and amplify Art’s dark, playful sense of humor. ✅ Built an EXPERIENCE This movie is a RIDE! We wanted to bring audiences into the world Damien built by expanding it – interacting directly with fans to bring Art into their Venmo accounts, inboxes and city streets. ✅ Listened to FANS Hands-on community management gave us the opportunity to listen to fans and react to feedback. As Steve Blank said, “no facts exist inside the building, only opinions.” ✅ Leveraged our OWNED Between Cineverse's network of streaming channels, top-rated podcast network, highly-trafficked horror destination, Bloody Disgusting, and proprietary ad-tech platform, c-360, our owned media provided a lot of agility -- allowing us to respond to market conditions and trends in real time. ✅ Found our COLLABORATORS Thank you Anti Agency Group and TriplePlay: Digital & Viral Strategies Kevin Childress, Katrina Wan PR and The Lippin Group for embracing (and heightening) our crazy. ✅ Kept the MYSTERY We’ll never reveal too much about individual tactics – gotta leave something to the imagination! But I will say that Cineverse does not condone the actions or marketing tactics of Art the Clown. 🙂 ✅ Made our own FUN Our best ideas came from having fun together as a team – channeling our inner Art to take risks because we thought it would be funny. This flow, play and joy is where the magic happens. It’s an honor to lead this Cineverse marketing and creative team. And a privilege to watch your magic. Danielle Canepa Drew Stepek Camila Mejía Duque Robyn Klingelhoefer Patrick Villyard Alberto Escalante Michelle Johnson Max Newfield Joan Kim Mercedes Martinez Divya Mathews Stephen Roche Under the brilliant guidance of Chris McGurk Yolanda Macias, Erick Opeka, Brad Miska, Tom Owen, Brandon Hill, Cineverse leadership, and support form the entire Cineverse team. Thank you Damien, Phil and the T3 team for the opportunity. It's been a thrill bringing your masterpiece to market.

It's time to meet the man behind the mask (and the chainsaw... and the liquid nitrogen... and, well, you get it). Check out this great conversation David Howard Thornton did with the Hollywood Reporter about getting in the head of Art the Clown and the one kill that made him queasy. https://bit.ly/404TOMY
