On April 29-30, the CINA center at George Mason University partnered with the Knoble, a non-profit based in Chattanooga, TN, to host the Cyber-Enabled Human Crime Workshop at Van Metre Hall at Mason Square. Homeland Security Investigations Executive Associate Director Ms. Katrina W. Berger opened the workshop, which brought together researchers, industry professionals, and government officials to develop projects to counter financial crimes that affects the most vulnerable. The workshop defined three workstreams on (1) industry-law enforcement information sharing, (2) industry and law enforcement workforce development; and (3) public education campaigns on which CINA and the Knoble will collaborate in the coming year.
