It was an honor to have patients, caregivers, providers, and researchers gather together in Seattle for the Strength in Community, Hope in Research event held at Fred Hutch. Planned by CCF’s volunteer CARE team, it was sponsored by Taiho Oncology, Inc. and included great conversations, presentations, and a tour of the Kugel lab. #fredhutch #hopeinresearch #precisionmedicine #cholangiocarcinoma #curecca #bileductcancer

When patients understand their testing results and reports, they possess the knowledge necessary to self-advocate and better communicate with their care team, taking on an active role in their treatment. By working with #patientadvocacy groups like Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, Luminations is able to deliver clear, engaging #patienteducation that empowers patients, demystifies their test results, and places them back in the driver's seat of their care. This clip comes from #CholangiocarcinomaFoundation's "Understanding Your Biomarker Test Report," an installment in their "Biomarkers Matter" educational campaign. Check out the full video, and share it with the patients in your network: https://lnkd.in/eMSzZH59 #BiomarkersMatter #patientempowerment #Luminations

💚 Hope in Action 💚 Last week, a remarkable group of patients with cholangiocarcinoma experienced the transformative Epic Experience camp in Colorado, coming together with fellow Survivor Thrivers for a week filled with joy, connection, and adventure. No one should face cholangiocarcinoma alone, which is why opportunities like this camp are so meaningful. The strength and spirit of these campers inspire us and highlight the power of community. From paddling on the water to evenings by the fire, shared laughter to moments of reflection, there are moments to thrive. #survivorthrivers #cholangiocarcinoma #bileductcancer #livingbeyondcancer #StrengthinCommunity #EpicExperience
