Last summer, 11-year-old Landon presented with persistent hip pain initially attributed to "growing pains." However, an MRI revealed abnormal cells and bone lesions, leading to a diagnosis of stage 4 Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. After starting treatment at Children’s National, Landon and his family faced this difficult journey with hope and determination. Five months and six rounds of chemotherapy later, Landon proudly rang the bell in May. Now, as he begins 7th grade, Landon is back to playing soccer and embracing life. We’re amazed by the bravery of the patients and families we serve, and grateful for all our team members providing the highest quality care available in the fight against childhood cancer.

Congratulations to all of the awardees working in this vital field!
The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) reports that substance misuse, addiction, and overdose among adolescents have risen significantly. Responding to this, the Alliance for Pediatric Device Innovation (APDI), an FDA-funded nonprofit consortium led by Children's National Hospital, recently requested proposals for technologies that can improve the monitoring, diagnosis, or treatment of adolescent substance misuse and addiction. Today, APDI congratulates the four awardees selected by a panel of expert judges from a competitive field: AltruMed; Levl, Sibel Health, and Toivoa. Each receives a $50,000 grant to advance their technology and access to support services from APDI across all phases of the medical device product lifecycle. APDI is dedicated to bringing more pediatric medical devices to the market for the benefit of children everywhere. Congratulations again to these four innovators! 🔗https://lnkd.in/e26xJ2GM cc: Kolaleh Eskandanian, PhD, MBA, PMP, Steve Xu, Anush Lingamoorthy, Cameron Baston, Laura Randa, MPA, Artin Ali Perse, Babak Tofighi M.D., M.Sc., Alex Aisthorpe, Gabrielle Gold-von Simson, MD, MS, Nathan Kuppermann, Julia Finkel, Leonardo M.
