A federal judge has blocked the Federal Trade Commission's ban on non-compete agreements, which was to go in effect next week. Hospitals cheered the judge's ruling and have criticized the FTC rule, saying it would hurt health systems and create an uneven playing field for talent. However, doctors were dismayed by the judge's order, and hoped the non-compete ban would help physicians secure better career opportunities.
