Remote work at Chatfuel: 4 principles to balance productivity and well-being.
We believe that a flexible and supportive work environment leads to happier and more productive team members. And what could offer more flexibility than remote work? 👨💻
Researchers prove its effectiveness: a Harvard Business Review study* showed remote employees have 13% higher productivity due to fewer distractions and better working conditions.
At Chatfuel, we work completely remotely. Here are the core principles that allow every team member to stay productive while maintaining their well-being:
1. Flexible working hours.
Our team members enjoy flexible start and end times. Each person sets their own schedule to fit their personal needs and time zones.
2. Essential meetings.
We regularly hold meetings like team syncs, 1-on-1s with managers, and bi-weekly demos where we share updates and discuss new releases, plans, and ideas.
3. Internal communication.
Internal communication is key. We have weekly digests featuring informal company news and colleague portraits, where each team member answers 15 questions from the Proust Questionnaire to help us get to know each other better.
4. Random coffee tradition.
To foster profound and meaningful connections and make everyone feel integrated into the team, we introduced Random Coffee. These informal coffee meetings allow colleagues who don’t usually interact to chat, get to know each other better, and have fun together.
By integrating these principles, we established a comfortable, productive, and collaborative remote work environment for our team.
