There's been a lot of talk lately about AI taking over our jobs. But if you're looking for a case where AI isn't outperforming humans, we have a compelling example... With the US currently in the midst of an election cycle, Meta's trust and security team has significantly ramped up its efforts to review and block ads. With this ramp, META is reallocating more human resources towards political ad reviews - thus AI is being heavily used to review non-political ads. This shift has led to a significant increase in initial ad rejections, delays in launches, extended approval times, and, most concerningly, more errors in ad disapprovals — all because AI is taking on tasks better suited for human judgment.
