Joan and Andrew were among over 60 guests at the recent Creative Aging Initiative Memory Book Art Exhibit, celebrating the collaborative efforts of Cornerstone Mayo Performing Arts Center, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Our teens had an amazing day at Valley Bank headquarters for career exploration! They gained valuable insights from employees and executives in diverse departments like Audit, Commercial/Business Banking, Consumer Lending, Credit Risk, Corporate Social Responsibility, IT, Learning & Development, Marketing, and Retail Banking. The day ended with a fantastic tour of the stunning headquarters. Enjoyed a very moving and lovely Creative Aging Memory Book art exhibit at Cornerstone Family Programs & Morristown Neighborhood House adult care center. The project was a collaboration with Mayo Performing Arts Center and was funded through a generous grant from the New Jersey State Arts Council. The memory books were collages of family photos, evocative photographs, and meaningful names, places, and memories. Makes you think about what makes up a life and the memories that sit with us throughout a lifetime.

Yesterday was a day to remember! 🌟 Our Memory Book Art Exhibit was a huge success, with clients, families, and the community coming together to celebrate the incredible stories captured in 23 uniquely beautiful memory books. Thank you to everyone who joined us to honor the creativity and rich histories of our participants. We are grateful to Mayo Performing Arts Center teaching artists Susan Faiola and Dan Fenelon, along with Kadie Dempsey, who worked closely with our clients to make the magic happen. The project was made possible through the Creative Aging Initiative Grant, sponsored by the NJ Council of the Arts, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
