CEOs Against Cancer - Pacific Northwest

American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) Washington's third annual 2024 Cancer Advocacy Coalition Summit took place last Thursday, convening dozens of lawmakers, government relations directors, community advocates and more to discuss shared priorities around health care and cancer policy for the 2025 legislative session. In Washington, the American Cancer Society recently awarded $223,000 in transportation and lodging grant funding to alleviate the financial burden of transportation and lodging costs for cancer patients. Fred Hutch, MultiCare Health System, and Virginia Mason Franciscan Health were some of the systems that received grants to deliver assistance directly to their patients. ACS is grateful to work alongside PNW CEO Chapter members & health system leaders to address transportation and lodging barriers to cancer treatment in our community. #accesstocare #ceosagainstcancer

We are thrilled to share the American Cancer Society has been selected as a Seattle Seahawks 2024 Spirit of 12 Partner for a second year in a row. This year marks 9 years of support from FlowPlay through in-game fundraising campaigns, with close to $700,000 raised since 2016! Thank you to Laird Norton Wetherby and Carla Wigen for their incredible support of the American Cancer Society through the #Fit2BeCancerFree step challenge. The Laird Norton Wetherby team impressively logged 10.1 million steps over 3 weeks and donated $6,300 to help fund access to cancer screening and care in the Pacific Northwest. Your dedication and generosity are truly inspiring!

FlowPlay and Craig Robinson came in 1st place in the PNW #Fit2BeCancerFree CEO Step Challenge and 2nd nationwide for the highest daily step average! The FlowPlay team took an impressive 12,515 steps per day and donated $23,180 to help increase access to care. Their dedication and hard work are truly inspiring!

Thank you Columbia Distributing and Chris Steffanci for supporting the American Cancer Society mission to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families. Over the 3 week #Fit2BeCancerFree step challenge, 71 employees took 12.1 million steps and raised $5,000!
