This week, Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago awarded Hillside’s Noe’s Landscaping and Aurora’s D’Arce Painting with $15,000 grants through its Community First Accelerate Grants for Small Business program. The grants were sponsored by Central Credit Union Of Illinois and will be primarily used by the recipients to purchase new equipment for their businesses serving their local communities. Accelerate Grants assist the growth and development of small businesses in Illinois and Wisconsin, creating economic opportunity in the communities FHLBank Chicago members serve. Through its member institutions like Central Credit Union, FHLBank Chicago offers grants of up to $30,000 to eligible small businesses. Autumn has arrived! And to celebrate the season and our Orland Park community, we helped sponsor the Village Of Orland Park's The Great Pumpkin Party. Our Orland Park branch team enjoyed handing out candy and face painting while passing along information to local residents about the financial benefits of credit union membership.
