Did you know that CDC made board games? What if you could play a game, earn training and work credit, and build partnerships? "This is a TEST" is a collaborative game that bridges the gap between discussion and operational exercises. The game uses narrative-based problems to foster teamwork, discuss resource management, and aid in understanding specific roles and responsibilities during an emergency. Emergency preparedness and response partners can use TEST as a training and exercise tool in their jurisdictions. Learn more: https://bit.ly/3MCwxdg

Clinicians: New CDC MMWR finds that fewer than half of older adult patients received outpatient COVID-19 antiviral treatment. While risk of hospitalization and death increases with age, particularly for those aged 65 years and older, these data suggest that lifesaving COVID-19 treatment was underused and that use of treatment declined with increasing age. As a clinician, you are best positioned to support your patients and their caregivers to make informed choices to help prevent severe COVID-19. Consider COVID-19 treatment in patients with mild or moderate COVID-19 who have one or more risk factors for severe COVID-19. Patient assistance programs are available to people who are underinsured, uninsured, and who are on Medicare or Medicaid to lower or even eliminate their out-of-pocket costs. Clinicians should consider COVID-19 treatment in patients with mild and moderate COVID-19 who have one or more risk factors for severe COVID-19. Treatment for COVID-19 must be started within 5-7 days after symptoms begin and can help reduce the chances of hospitalization and death.
