The Center for Better Aging supports Governor JB Pritzker's Executive Order, which established a Multi-sector Plan for Aging (MPA), putting Illinois at the forefront of caring for our aging population. The MPA's framework aligns with our mission to improve care systems for older adults. It encourages collaboration and partnerships to enhance the quality and accessibility of care for older adults throughout Illinois. We're committed to working with public, private, and community-based organizations to ensure the voices of older adults and caregivers are heard and valued as this plan takes shape. #Illinois #CenterForBetterAging #MPA

People 65 or older are at greater risk of heat-related illness. As the weather soars to dangerous temperatures of up to 110 degrees in Chicago, we urge the community to review The City of Chicago's resources for hot conditions, including cooling locations and tips to beat the heat.
High temperatures are predicted to be in the high-80s and mid-90s for the next few days. 🌡️🔥 Stay cool and help your loved ones do the same. Everyone—but especially those who are socially isolated, don’t have air conditioning, are 65 years or older, have a chronic disease, or are pregnant—should take precautions, even in the evening, by visiting cooling centers, libraries or park facilities with AC or visiting a friend or relative. Check out other tips and resources: https://lnkd.in/gAQ-uWc8
