Safety first! 🦺 This fall we hosted our annual CBG Safety Stand-Up events across our regions, most recently at our Union Green jobsite in Georgia. The event delivered bilingual training demonstrations for subcontractors with a focus on fall protection, including applications and requirements, "ABCs", equipment inspection, and harness fittings. Additional topics such as proper PPE, ladder safety, pretask planning and training, and general safety awareness were also covered. Thank you to everyone who participated in our 2024 Safety Stand-Up events across our regions and for working hard every day to maintain a safe work environment for all. 👏 In addition, thank you to our Georgia vendor partners for their generous contributions: 👷 Heyden Supply - Fall protection demo/training, giveaways, and Chick-fil-A breakfast 🚜 Yancey Bros. Our Atlanta team organized a drive to collect emergency supplies for those impacted by Hurricane Helene last month. 💙 We delivered all donations to Syfan Logistics, who then transported truckloads of items to southern Georgia and Western North Carolina. Thank you to all of our employees who participated in this drive. Our thoughts are with those still experiencing the effects of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. #cbggives #cbgbuilds

Last month, we celebrated the groundbreaking for Hillandale Gateway, a mixed-use development comprised of two 11-story concrete buildings with 463 market-rate and affordable units. Targeting LEED® Platinum, the community is designed to meet the criteria of several High Performance Building Design standards including ENERGY STAR®, Enterprise® Green Communities, and Passive House. Together, these design and performance standards will pave the way toward net zero energy and a minimum carbon footprint impact while creating a healthy, resilient, sustainable, and vibrant community. An incredible day at the 7th Annual CBG Capital Cup! Big thanks to Metromont for hosting our CBG Atlanta team at their precast concrete plant in Hiram, GA! 🏭 Our team toured the facility and got an in-depth look at the precast production process—from formwork to pouring and everything in between. It was an amazing experience to see firsthand how their plant operates and to deepen our understanding of precast concrete. 🔎👷 #cbgbuilds

We recently celebrated the construction completion of The Iris with an incredible rooftop cookout! 🎉 Festivities included live steel drum music, drinks, delicious bites crafted by Chef Justus Frank of Mill Street Draft Garden, and farm-fresh proteins from Long Stone Farm, owned by CBG's very own Justin Wisch. Attendees enjoyed stunning views of the DC skyline and a sneak peek of The Iris's premium amenities—penthouse gym, rooftop garden, dog walk, pool, and more!
