I was both delighted and humbled to join Denise Rousseau and Jos Akkermans as a member of the panel for the Academy of Management's Careers Division Hughes Lifetime Career Scholar Award for 2024. Having the opportunity to present the award to Yehuda Baruch was the highlight of my visit to this year's AoM Conference in Chicago. Professor Baruch has been a dear friend and colleague for many years. He is richly deserving of this award as was clearly reflected in the heartfelt applause and cheers at this year's Careers Division Awards ceremony. His scholarship and collegiality is characterised by excellence, innovation, inclusivity, creating and maintaining connections for us and with us. He invites us to think beyond traditional perspectives to embrace diversity and oftentimes bold theory and practice. He has explored and contributed to our understanding of themes such as expatriation, repatriation, career mobility, career transitions and serendipity, career sustainability, psychological contracts, and employability to name but a few. Demonstrating consistent support for the global community of career and HR scholars he has served as Editor and Associate Editor of several high quality journals as well as taking on multiple leadership roles in the Careers Division. With a dedication to the scholarly community, Professor Baruch's co-edited book - Winning Reviews: A Guide for Evaluating Scholarly Writing' has been a go-to guide for both new and more experienced journal reviewers alike.
