We take you beyond job boards and beyond conversational or motivational coaching. We produce rock-solid deliverables at every stage of our work with you. And you’ll have 60 days of ongoing support with your coach after you finish your CareerCOACH program.     Warning - THIS MAY NOT WORK FOR YOU AS SUGGESTED! SCENARIO- BOTH PARTNERS WORK AND COMMUTE'S 15 MILES TO WORK Say a couple has two young kids. One partner makes $250k and one makes $100k - not uncommon. Both want to return to work for economic or mental stimulation.   We’ll look at the partner earning $100k with a 15-mile commute Wages          $100,000 Taxes            $  40,000- Net               $ 60,000 Childcare   $ 36,000- Clothing      $   3,000- Commute   $ 12,000- (15 x $800/mile/year) True Net    $  9,000   Hours/Yr       2,080 (40 Hour Weeks) Net Hourly    $4.32 / hour - well below minimum wage WHAT PARENTS ARE DOING IN A WORK FROM HOME FOR EITHER ONE; Working from home gives back the additional clothing, the commute, and the childcare costs. This provides $60,000 in net income after taxes or $60k/2080 hours or $28.84 / hour. THE DAILY TASKS 1. Get the kids dressed, fed, and off to daycare or school 2. Pick grade school kids on a work break at 2:30 pm 3. Have a sitter or tutor be with the kids from 3-6 pm (deduct cost) 4. At 5 pm, put on dinner - crock or other (30 min) 5. Partner arrives at 6:00 pm 6. Dinner together at 6:30 pm as a family 7. Bath time, book time, bedtime 8. At 8:30 mount your Peloton, or spend time with your partner. This works for single parents as well as couples and it works well. It can also be combined with a home-schooled circle of families. We see about 58% of our clients from basic knowledge workers to executives work from home with ease while managing their families with less effort and satisfaction.

    Resumes are written by humans for humans still. AI can help with wording on the Profile/Summary, or with an occasional sentence, but by and large, LinkedIn AI produces more gibberish that prose. Consider this - 1. AI can write a resume, but for whom, and for what purpose. 2. Only a human can interpret what is NOT there and sus out the facts 3. AI generated resumes lead a client into an interview without knowing the resume and failing in the stories and facts. AI Resumes for the whole resume may be a long way off and even when it's better, the human brain, the human experience with motiviators and facts will still lie with the CareerCOACH(tm) and the Client working together for success.     Brian Elliott is one of the few business minds I follow here. This article and collateral illustrate what's not and what's working for WFH employees. All my career, in all my roles, I trained my employees with trust - giving them all the rope to "hang" themselves or succeed and you know what- when you monitor results over time worked, it's a winner each time. - Thanks Brian.

    Commuting is changing. With the broad acceptance of the value of the alternative to being in the office, how do you get where you're going in the morning? (Some may be donning slippers and working from home.) 1. A 25-mile commute costs $20k after taxes, about $28,500 pre-tax - that's 25% of a $100k job, but only 8.3% if you make $300k. Commuting punishes the middle class, plus gas taxes. 2. Commute time is about 1.0 - 2.5 depending on the day - what is your time worth to you, and to your family? 3. With all the climate change concerns, doesn't it just make sense to work from home and not pollute everyday driving (even EVs pollute indirectly from their energy sources). How do you get there now?
