American Banker Top Performing Big Bank (assets >$50B): First Citizens Bank Since 2021, First Citizens Bank, based in Raleigh, NC, has seen remarkable growth, expanding its assets to $220 billion. This growth has been driven by strategic acquisitions, including the high-profile purchase of the failed Silicon Valley Bank, which extended its footprint nationwide and diversified business lines. This is pretty astounding. Since 2020, according to the research in this article, Millennial household wealth grew significantly. Perhaps this isn't surprising given where they are in their lifecycles. It points to better opportunities for financial institutions able to target these consumers with banking and wealth accumulation solutions. #Millennials #futureofbanking
