Yesterday, NASDA - National Association of State Departments of Agriculture heard from the FDA and Cannabis Regulators Association (CANNRA) on intoxicating hemp. “When I use the term ‘synthetic,’ I don’t mean [that these cannabinoids] are produced in a lab. I mean that the end result is a cannabinoid which is not capable of being produced in the plant,” the FDA's Norman Birenbaum said. “Those cannabinoids didn’t exist on the face of the earth before. There’s no history of human use or interaction with those substances."
