Camp Sunshine

We would like to congratulate Chanteasea Swain on her recent promotion to Director of Operations! "For the past 19 years, I have been working at Camp Sunshine, but it has never felt like work. It has been a way for me to serve the community, make the world a better place for children with cancer and their families, and receive more love than I could possibly give. I am filled with love, knowing I am pursuing my dreams alongside the best team. The quote by Confucius, 'Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life,' highlights the importance of finding fulfillment in our professional pursuits. When we are passionate about what we do for a living, our work no longer feels like a burden or obligation; rather, it becomes an outlet for our deepest desires and an opportunity for personal growth and self-realization.", Chanteasea said.

March is child life and social work month! Did you know that Camp Sunshine has four Certified Child Life Specialists on staff?? Not only are they child development experts, but they are also some of the most bubbly and kind people you will meet! They light up the lives of children with cancer and we are beyond thankful to have them as part of our team. #childlifemonth #socialworkmonth

The Sally J. Hale Scholarship Fund supports former campers as they move past their childhood cancer diagnosis and look to their future. We are honored to be a part of their journey and are so proud of all that they have accomplished!
