Congratulations to Tracy Fasolino and Carey Candrian who will serve in the 1-year program to work on a diverse range of aging-related issues, both in Washington DC and nationwide. In honor of American Heart Association's 100-year milestone this year, Cambia Health Foundation president Peggy Maguire rallied Cambia staff and her networks to raise funds and champion the Association’s life-changing work. Together they raised over $122,000 and more than 60 Cambia employees participated in the Association’s Heart & Stroke Walk events in Oregon and Washington! This summer flew by! We had a remarkable intern with us all summer who just completed her time. Thank you so much Sophie Rotival for joining our team for the last few months! “We are so thankful to Sophie for her assistance with data and research projects this summer," said Sophie's manager Maeve McClellan. "Her versatile skill set helped us gain momentum in essential projects and we wish her the best as she heads back to her final year at Swarthmore!” 

We're excited to announce $500,000 of recent investments to relieve the strain on our region’s health care workforce! This funding marks more than $1.5 million invested in community partners across Idaho, Oregon, Utah and Washington since 2022 and is part of our larger vision to advance equity through whole-person health. We recently gathered to celebrate Stari Barklow, the newest recipient of the Cambia Health Foundation / Paula A. Jones Endowed Scholarship of The Oregon Community Foundation! Stari is pursuing a career as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and is the first in her family to attend college. Congratulations, Stari! This scholarship is available to students in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Utah who are from communities traditionally unrepresented in professional healthcare roles including students from rural areas as well as students who are Black, Indigenous and people of color.
